From private citizen to documentary film star to Supreme Court petitioner who overturned the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), Edith (Edie) Windsor became a gay rights and feminist icon in her ninth decade. In a conversation between Edie and her attorney, Roberta Kaplan, they trace the odyssey through the court system resulting in United States v. Windsor - the 2013 landmark decision that struck down DOMA.
